Someone dies from smoking every 72 seconds.

Smoking causes more deaths than alcohol, AIDS, illegal drugs, car crashes, fires, murders, and suicides combined.

How Long Does It Take to Earn USA Minimum Wage around the World

From Fixr, The Shocking Disparities of Labor Cost visualizes how long it takes to earn the annual U.S. Minimum Wage from countries around the world.

My only criticism is that the change in area of the triangles doesn’t match the increase in time for the different countries. The scale of the visuals doesn’t match the numbers.

I just scrolled through a massive infographic that shows you a lot about the world — from the top of the atmosphere to the bottom of the deepest ocean trench.

It’s all to scale, so along the way, you can see great comparisons between the tallest buildings in the world, the deepest depths of submarines, and the jaw-dropping truth behind just how deep that BP oil well was drilling.

Pornography has been traded online since the 1980’s, even in the form of ASCII art, and then, with the rise of the world wide web in the 1990’s, adult webistes began springing up everywhere. Here are the figures for the enormous world of internet pornography.

You might be surprised by the statistics compiled in this big infographic picture but don’t forget that porn is an insanely huge industry that pulls in billions of dollars throughout the whole world… each year!
